top tier falafs

in sydney

Falafels are a staple in our vegan diets. We love them, live for them, and could eat them all day long. Here are the eight best places to get falafels in Sydney:

Khamsa Cafe, Newton
Run, don’t walk, to Khamsa
Cafe where you’ll find our favourite falafels in Sydney. This plant-based cafe is bringing a taste of Palestine to your plate with its authentic fusion plant-based food. The Jerusalem Bowl with hummus, baba ghanoush, quinoa, fattoush, falafel, and cauliflower is our go-to but the Bedouin Falafel Pocket comes in at a close number two. These guys really have stolen a pita our heart.

Jimmy’s Falafel, CBD
Jimmy’s Falafel believes in the power of a falafel. Be sure to grab one of their legendary falafel pitas or share plates next time you’re in the city. Insider tip: the green goodness tahini on the Falafel Goodness Pita is to die for!

Emma’s Snack Bar, Enmore
It’s always time for a pita party at Emma’s Snack Bar. These guys have been smashing the felafel game for years with their next-level, homemade felafels. There are so many tempting share plates to try but we recommended ordering one of their felafel plates with six serves of spiced and herby deep-fried goodness. GO GO GO!

Cairo Takeaway, Newtown
We have FALA-fallen in love with the team at Cairo Takeaway. This little corner shop serves up authentic Egyptian food that is too tempting to pass up. Their Falafel Pocket makes the perfect grab-and-go snack and can easily be upgraded into a plate with extra goodies of bread, salad, pickles, and dip. Do it!

Kepos Street Kitchen, Redfern
Say chick-please to falafels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Kepos Street Kitchen. These legends are serving up Middle Eastern food with a Mediterranean twist and we are slightly obsessed. Go for gold with their Breakfast Falafel Plate and swing by again to get another serve for lunch.

Sabbaba, multiple locations
Wanna pita this? Head to Sabbaba to get your daily falafel fix and order up a serve of their crunchy falafel pita pockets. They’ve got four locations or if you’re feeling lazy, you can get one delivered straight to your door. The ultimate feel-good food!

Jasmin 1, Leichhardt
There’s no time to falaf around when there are falafels to be eaten. Jasmin 1 is one of Sydney’s favourite Lebanese restaurants that are absolutely killing the falafel game. We can’t go past their hot falafel mezza served with a tahini sauce. It’s out of this world.

Buddha Bowl Cafe, Newtown
Falafels + Waffles = everything you’ve been dreaming of. Head to Buddha Bowl Cafe for our absolute favourite Bedouin Bowl with warm falafel waffles, hummus, brown-black rice, kale, and lentil salad, and creamy herbed tahini dressing that is to die for!
