Simple, easy and so much cheaper then supermarket bought.



1 400g can of chickpeas
1/4 a cup of liquid from can of chickpeas
4 tbsp of lemon juice (depending on taste)
1.5 tbsp of tahini
2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
1 teaspoon salt
2tablespoons olive oil
Sprinkle of paprika or dukkah (garnish)

Drain chickpeas and set aside liquid rom can.
Combine remaining ingredients in a food processor.
Add quarter of a cup of liquid from the chickpea can.
Blend for 3 – 5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth.
Place in a bowl and finish with paprika or dukkah and a drizzle of olive oil.
We love to serve it with toasted pita bread, carrot or celery sticks.
